LifePoint Church

Lifepoint is a church that believes in Jesus, a church that loves God and people.

LifePoint Church is a church for everyone; young and old, rich and poor, life-long christian and honest skeptic. It is simple, authentic, and alive. LifePoint is a community of believers seeking, above all, to become passionate followers of Jesus Christ. We believe this happens through connecting, growing, and serving. We believe in the five fold ministries mentioned in the word of God, apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers to strengthen the saints for the work of the ministry. We are Spirit filled Church and we are here to bring transformation and to influence our community.

History

Silas Defigueiredo was born in Valadares, Brazil. Lived in Valadares most of his young life, and at 15 years of age he came to America in search of the American dream, little did he know, God had plans to save him and make him a minister of the gospel. God called him into the ministry in December of 1995 at his home church in Rockland, Massachusetts. In 1999 he was ordained a minister to serve as an evangelist. In 2003 he was ordained to serve as an associate pastor of a local church. God has allowed him to serve as youth minister, associate pastor and now he serves as Senior Pastor since day one of LifePoint Church.

Our mission is to create worship environments for all ages, relational connections in small groups, service opportunities inside the church, service opportunities outside the church — both locally and globally, and more.

Jesus being the sinless savior gave his life as a ransom to save us all
Jesus resurrected from the grave 3 days later
Jesus is seated the right hand of God and is coming back for His church soon
Jesus is the only way to the Father
Salvation comes through being born again/saved, and that is the only way

Salvation is about a relationship with Jesus Christ
We are Free-Moral agents, God has given us the choice to follow him and we still have that choice.
Everyone has been given gifts that are to be used for His glory.
We believe in pre-millennial and pre-tribulation
We believe in sanctification of the believer.
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and is accurate and true!
We believe in the baptism with the Holy Spirit and the gifts of the Spirit.

We are a friendly body of believers who are seeking God individually. We believe that true life is only found through a relationship with Jesus Christ.

We are part of MEVAM ministries which is a leading ministry in missions and community outreach. MEVAM ministries has its base in Brazil and has over 500 affiliated churches worldwide. We are called to move and manifest the kingdom of God and to spread the good news of salvation to our local community as well as the world.
